Glover Customs Brokers Inc. has been committed to helping clients meet the various challenges of importing and exporting for over 30 years. Aside from our core business as a customs broker, we have expanded our services enabling us to take on additional roles in such areas as Logistics and Consulting. We recognize the need for our clients to be aware of the evolving trade world, and how they can benefit from it.

Our Trade Advisory Group is dedicated to ensuring clients are complying with the ever-changing customs regulations, as well as taking advantage of the various duty relief programs and trade agreements available. The growth of the department has been greatly influenced by the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) which came into effect January 1, 1994. Much of our time is spent certifying products under the extensive rules of origin contained in the NAFTA.

Recent changes in customs procedures due to the New Business Relationship Initiative (NBR) implemented Jan. 1, 1998, has also proven to be an area of growth. Customs is concentrating their time on periodic verifications, examining many areas of importing procedures including H.S. Tariff Classification, NAFTA, Valuation, etc…. Our Trade Advisory Group helps clients to prepare themselves for these audits in order to avoid any penalties, and ensure compliance.
